The PCE Spirit Rock is an exciting opportunity for you to celebrate events with our community by painting your own message. This might include your student’s birthday, events, competitions, thank you’s, etc. The Spirit Rock is a fun way to spread a positive message to your student and our school community. It is located in front of the school near the portables!
Step 1: Reserve your date
Step 2: Pay for your rock reservation

Step 3: Paint! Spirit Rock Rules
What supplies do I need?
Plan on using 1-2 cans of spray paint for the base coat and then additional paint (basic acrylic paint works great!) for the design. You may also want to bring painters tape, scissors, templates, chalk (to outline your design) or brushes to aid in the design as well. Don’t forget a cup of water if you are using a paintbrush! Get creative!
Painting TIPS:
Can PCEA paint the rock for me?
NO - the PCEA is not responsible for painting the rock. Please reach out if you are unable to paint the rock, and we will be happy to provide recommendations for individuals who can be hired to complete the painting on your behalf.
What can I reserve the rock for?
You can reserve the rock for just about any occasion! Celebrate a student’s birthday, thank a teacher or staff member, recognize an achievement, wish a team good luck before a competition or tournament, or commemorate an important milestone. The rock is a fun and creative way to share positive messages and show support for our school community.
Please note that profanity, political messages, and business advertising are not permitted on the Spirit Rock. All paintings must be appropriate, respectful, and in good taste. PCE staff and the PCEA will regularly monitor the Spirit Rock to ensure compliance with these guidelines. School administration reserves the right to remove or cover any painting deemed inappropriate without prior notice to the individual or group responsible for painting the rock.
What if I reserve the rock and the weather is bad?
The rock can be towel-dried before painting, and paint will generally adhere even in rainy or snowy conditions if you are willing to brave the elements.
If painting in the rain or snow is not ideal for you, please revisit the reservation calendar and select the next available date. Once you have chosen a new date, email coloradopcea@gmail.com to let us know about the change. We can also assist with moving your reservation when possible. Please note that we are unable to offer refunds and appreciate your understanding.
